The Classic Range is called Juvederm Ultra which comprises several versions that are suitable for lip enhancement. Juvéderm Ultra Smile is the original specific lip filler of choice for shaping the lips and replacing lost volume. We use this for the 0.5ml lip enhancement and top ups.
Restylane is also a reliable brand that can give natural but juicy lips. We love Restylane Kysse, Classic and refyne in the clinic.
Hylaronic Acid is a natural substance found within the body, which diminishes as we age. In replacing it, it not only does it give volume and structure to the face, it also attracts water to it, giving your skin a healthy glow. Even more, is that by using temporary lip fillers which last 6 months, you have long lasting results and remain in control of how you look. We don’t use any permanent lip fillers, as they only then to give this over the top ‘trout pout’ that is.
2 -4 weeks after treatment.
There will be some mild discomfort felt. A numbing cream is applied to the lips until they are completely numb. Further to this all the high quality advanced dermal fillers we use have lidocaine in them which helps to further reduce any pain experienced.
Redness, bruising, swelling are the most common side effects. We will send you a pre lip treatment guide to help prepare you for the treatment.
Risk and complications include
– hypersensitivity or allergic reaction
-infection or abscess
-lumps and bumps
– vascular occlusion (requiring immediate removal of filler with hylase solution).
– migration of filler
– late onset nodules
– outbreak of herpes simplex
Avoid Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Fish oils, Evening primrose oil, Ginkgo biloba, St Johns wort.
If you are prone to cold sores please take Lysine for 5 days pre treatment. If you have an active cold sore we cannot treat you until it is completely healed for two weeks.
If you are prone to bruising please take arnica for 7 days post treatment.
No alcohol for 24 – 48 hours before
No caffeine or aerobic excercise pre treatment

Do not rub or massage the lips. We will When and how to touch the lips. No exercise that day. Walking is fine but no vigorous exercise or swimming is advised for 1- 2 days. No sauna or steam rooms. No Alcohol for 24 hours. No make up for at least 12 hours. We advise against hot drinks as your lips will be numb for a few hours after filler, and you may not feel how hot the drink is.
