Naoimhs Acne Journey

Naoimhs Acne Journey

I had the pleasure of having Naoimh come to the clinic to take care of her skin. I had approached her on Instagram as I felt I could make a difference in her skin.

With acne it can be really heartbreaking if you have tried everything. Going down the medication route can be daunting especially and your not ready for it. I spoke with Naoimh about medical grade ingredients and how they can benefit her skin in a corrective way. As Naoimh had never had a treatment with these active ingredients before we prepped her skin with the acne home care pack from Mesoestetics. It’s so important not to over load the skin in the first instance, especially acne prone skin as it can easily become inflamed and trigger a further breakout. The purpose of the acne pack was to begin to suppress to skins P-acne bacteria, improve oil production and allow for a clear canvas for the peels to work.
After two weeks of using this we started the Acnelan Acne treatment. The treatment itself does not last long but it can have a prickly feeling on the skin. This is then washed off and neutralised. A pore refining solution is applied to tighten the pores and seal in the results. A cooling crystal fibre mask brings the heat in the skin back to normal. We then apply a fast acting repair cream to continue to regeneration at home and allow the skin to begin its healing process. This process does not end when they leave the clinic, the treatment starts to work and co tinies for up to one month.
It’s main purpose is it is
– antibacterial – kills the p-acne bacteria that can live in the skin and becomes stubborn to treat
– had a keratolytic effect, regulating the skins turn over
– balancing out the oil
-anti-inflammatory

I sent Naoimh home with a fast acting repair cream to help soothe her skin at home. The redness subsided after a day or two and then flaking occurs. This is particularly in days 7-10. Naoimh came back for another session a month later. She has continued to see results and we are so delighted that she is more comfortable in her own skin.
